FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Sally's modern southern paintings
What is the difference between an 'Original Painting vs. a Giclee Print'?
Original paintings have been hand painted by Sally, therefore they will be one of a kind. Giclee prints are replicas of Sally's original paintings that have been printed on a canvas material.
What is a canvas print?
I offer giclée prints on canvas. The canvas material is a beautiful upgrade on a typical paper print. It has textural quality that mirrors the canvas I paint on. This canvas material gets you close to the look of a Sally J Goodrich original!
Stretched vs Rolled canvas print.
Rolled canvas print:
Printed on the artist grade canvas material. Rolled canvas gives you the freedom to choose between more frames without the wrap of a painting.
Do you do commissions?
Yes, I do. Please refer to my commissions tab on the websites home menu.
Will 'Out of Stock' paintings ever be restocked.
Unfortunately not. These are one of a kind original paintings. Therefore there will not be one painted exactly like a previous one. I do recreate similar paintings to my previous works. So always be checking back for my newest listings or hop on the mailing list to see them first!.
How long does it take for me to receive my artwork?
All items are ready to ship within 2-3 weeks. Giclee prints are made to order. All items are shipped USPS or FedEx and are estimated to arrive 5-7 business days after shipment. Please allow 3-4 weeks for international orders to arrive. This is just an estimate, individual locations may vary.
Do you ship internationally/overseas?
Yes, I ship worldwide. Allow up to 2-3 weeks to process and package your order and an additional 3-4 weeks for international orders to arrive.
**Please note that most of the transit time is due to items being held in the receiving countries customs. Sally J Goodrich reserves the right to cancel and refund an order due to the difficulty of shipping an item to certain countries.
International Shipping
All paintings and giclee prints are shipped rolled in a tube. Framed art and stretched giclee prints are not available for shipping out of the United States. If you place an order for a stretched giclee canvas your purchase order will be refunded.
How are shipping costs determined?
This is determined on the price, dimensions, shipping destination, and weight of the artwork(s) purchased. Shipping costs include packaging and handling.
**Please note that artwork may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country’s regulations. If you have questions on this please contact your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes.
How will my large artwork be shipped to me?
Paintings are shipped flat in a box or package. The largest painting that is shipped flat in a box is a 30x40" or a 24x48". These are ready to hang on your wall out of the box. You can also have them framed. Anything larger than a 30x40" or a 24x48" painting is removed from the wood stretcher bars and rolled shipped in a tube. A framer from your home town will be able to re-stretch your painting (contact your local framer for pricing).
**International Shipping: All paintings larger than a 12x12" will be removed from stretcher bars and rolled in a tube. All paintings smaller than 12x12" are shipped flat in a box or package.
Do you license or wholesale your work?
Yes of course! Please contact me at goodrichsallyj@gmail.com with your inquiries.
How do I care for my print?
Prints should be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage. Your favorite local framer will be able to mount your canvas print onto foam boards or stretched around stretcher bars for a professional loo.
