These paintings require me to use quick brushstrokes to capture the feeling of the moment. I particularly like to paint the view of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in my backyard and the hydrangeas that grow in my little flower beds.

Of course I take inspiration from impressionist, Claude Monet - who doesn’t?
