These paintings require me to use quick brushstrokes to capture the feeling of the moment. I particularly like to paint the view of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in my backyard.

Of course I take inspiration from impressionist, Claude Monet - who doesn’t?

The color is more vibrant, the details are more detailed and the strokes more loose.  Other times her landscapes are inspired by photos taken near her home and travels around the area. 

She loves to represent the beauty and every changing colors of even the most plain outstretched field. 

Her florals consist of familiar flowers usually in ginger jars, painted with blue chinoiserie figures.  She takes ample liberties with color and tries to create her best impressionist/fauve or fauve/impressionist style of work.
